At Eduland Montessori, the Casa environment welcomes children between 2.5 and 5.5 years, a stage Dr. Maria Montessori defined as the “Absorbent Mind.” During this remarkable period,
children naturally take in everything from their surroundings language, culture, emotions, manners, and behavior without conscious effort.
They adapt to the world they are born into simply by experiencing it. Because this stage shapes the foundation of a child’s personality, the environment itself becomes a teacher.
A thoughtfully prepared space allows children to explore, learn, and grow with independence.

Our environment is intentionally designed to nourish the child’s senses, intellect, and spirit. Every detail supports the child’s inner drive to learn beauty, number, order, harmony, language, movement, and belonging.
Dr. Maria Montessori believed that “what the hand touches, the mind remembers.” Therefore, every material in our Casa environment is:

Furniture, shelves, and tools are arranged so children can sit, stand, reach, and move freely fostering independence and confidence through the simple principle:
“Help me to help myself.”
Learning Through Hands-On Discovery
Children in Casa work with materials that allow them to think with their hands and the material’s are designed to help children move from concrete to abstraction. Through freedom within structure, they build essential life skills:
